The Night CircusThe Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I struggled with this book for a while, honestly. I read it on and off for months because it never really grabbed me. The writing was eloquent and lovely and it was great the ability to shift from second person to third, but it wasn’t until the last 80-100 pages that I actually felt like I couldn’t put the book down. The beginning of this book, and middle, though seemingly essential, just did not move in the pace that really intrigued me as a reader. It was hard to follow at times, and the writing was so imaginative that I struggled putting a picture together at times. But the descriptions of the circus itself and the tents were amazing. Seeing the circus from Bailey’s perspective is imperative to this story and I loved those moments. It is definitely worth the read because in the end you feel fulfilled and I, at least, was really happy with how it ended so I am really glad I spent the time to finish this book.
